A big part of Kindergarten is social interactions. It is super important to teach students how to express their feelings correctly, be kind to others, how to share, and how to be a good citizen. To help kids learn these social interactions, there is a chunk of time during our day that the kids get to free play. They choose whatever they want to play with and simply play. I love this time because the kids begin to use their imaginations and truly get a chance to be a kid but it also teaching them how to play nicely.
We always need more time like this. A chance for them to be a kid and explore. Our play time is called centers- and I know they love it.
